They Have to Submit

to Jesus; he is "over" all demons

One thing that baffled me years ago when I was first introduced to the organized occult was their hatred of Christians, Christianity, and Jesus.

They hate Jesus and his Father, and yet some of them who communicate with high level demons and principalities pray to that very Father God before they summon demons. It’s a mental conundrum because the two concepts do not fit well together in my non-occult-trained mind.

This podcast is long and detailed, and I learned quite a few interesting things from it, but one thing that stood out to me was Dr. Coccini’s explanation of King Solomon’s mapping of the hierarchy of demons. In the 72 Keys of Solomon, an occult book of demons/demonology, Solomon maps out the chain of command of the demons he was familiar with. They are organized in a military-style hierarchy, with different ranks.

In the Testament of Solomon, a non-canonical biblical text that Dr. Coccini has read along with the Lesser Key of Solomon and the 72 Keys of Solomon, Solomon is interviewing high-ranking demons, and Jesus is described by a high-ranking demon as “Emmanuel” and “the Lamb; the one who will be slain.” This demon names Emmanuel as the top of the demonic hierarchy, the one who will rule over them, and the one to whom (when he finally comes and does his work) to the name Jesus they will have to bow own their knees. (That demons do bow to the name Jesus has been confirmed by ex-occultists like Caleb Jade).

At the time Solomon was mapping out the demonic hierarchy, Jesus had not yet been born. Solomon didn’t know his name.

"And so Solomon went through this big rigmarole trying to figure out how to control the demons, because the name (of Jesus) wasn't accessible to him yet. It hadn't been activated. The cross hadn't happened yet. Christ didn't take the keys back from hell yet. Christ is now the king of hell because of the cross.”

“Solomon is an archetype and a cautionary tale of what happens when you don't have the authority of Christ. Christians now can do what Solomon did, and control and tell demons to flee, heal people, all this stuff, greater things still, because of the authority of Jesus, Christ in the ring, which is the Holy Spirit. It's the same story. It's just like because of Christ and the name above all names, and that's why we say in Jesus name”

So, praying to Father God and controlling demons via witchcraft, in this perspective, are just two sides of a similar coin. Witchcraft is a more ancient but far inferior way of controlling demons. This segment of the podcast reminds me of the adage, “know better, do better.”

I don’t recommend reading the Lesser Key of Solomon or the 72 Keys of Solomon, unless you are experienced at removing spirits from books and protecting yourself from any adverse affects you might experience from interacting with them. One never knows if books like this are cursed or if there are demons attached that could become your new close friends as you’re leafing through the pages.
